A lifelong artist and designer, design thinking has been at the core of Tim’s creative, coaching and management strategies. Over the last 20 years, Tim has been working with media companies to rethink how they operate in an increasingly fragmented market. At Advance Local, Tim’s team has re-engineered how newspapers are made, using a decentralized virtual organization, responsive print templates, automation and streamlined content management systems to maximize the impact of talent.
Often the most challenging step for innovators is to sell their ideas and get them to fruition. The “Scare Your Boss” series of lectures were aimed to help creative people apply design thinking and succeed in less receptive environments. The goals are no less than to change the culture of a company, where design thinking is the norm and creativity is the primary asset. |
