Vice President of Experience Design & Innovation for NBCUniversal, Shawn leads an Emmy® award-winning team to deliver innovative and multi-platform apps, products and experiences for some of the biggest shows on television today.
Responsible for the Design and Creative Vision – Shawn champions Human-Centered Experience strategies for the network’s products, platforms, services and channels.
Shawn is a global Design leader who builds synergy between, product, technology, marketing, and business strategy. He and his teams deliver engaging experiences that create positive, memorable and lasting relationships between consumers, our products and our brands.
Prior to NBC, he served as Senior UX Lead & Creative Director for Microsoft – championing the path towards a unified Consumer Brand Experience. Working across the entire Microsoft ecosystem, his team led business groups/partners towards a unified global brand experience.
As an entrepreneur and industry pioneer, he founded several innovative award-winning design agencies - working with a broad range of clients including: Nike, Unilever, Sony, Budweiser, Microsoft, Paramount, Fox, Disney, Coca-Cola, Nissan, and Walt Disney Imagineering.
Blurring the lines between impossible and possible, Shawn thrives at the intersection of business, strategy, design, technology and imagination of the human spirit.
He attended Otis Parsons School of Art & Design, and at age 24 became one of the youngest instructors at the prestigious west coast design school.
