Throughout my career, I have always maintained a customer-oriented focus, from the time the customer was one of my students, players, or parents in my early career as a teacher and coach, through my years traveling nationally and internationally to work with educators and administrators in various roles. Whether I worked virtually or face to face with a customer or colleague, my goal was always to proactively arm them with the tools and information they needed to make informed decisions to drive their own success and the success of those they were responsible for. My substantial foundational work and the relationships I develop with the customer would allow me to gather important feedback around product design that would assist various development, marketing and sales teams to improve our product and implementation processes from pre-sales through onboarding and account management. This strategy of engaging with the customer throughout their lifecycle has built strong relationships that aid in customer retention and ultimately corporate profitability. I have played an integral role not only in customer growth and retention, but also in the rebirth of customers who had chosen to depart by using the relationship of trust and respect I had built with them over the years. I look forward to sharing my insights and experience through my position on the Rutgers Design Thinking Advisory Board.
